Title: Wireless Body Area Network: A Paradigm Shift in Healthcare Applications
Dr. Soumyadeep Das is an early career researcher and academic specializing in biomedical implantable antennas and advanced wireless communication systems. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Implantable Antennas from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur in 2022, focusing on the design of efficient body-implantable antennas for biomedical applications and body area networks (BANs). He also holds a Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
Dr. Das has served as an Assistant Professor at Techno India University, West Bengal, and as a postdoctoral fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna, where he contributed to research on 6G THz testbeds. Currently, he is part of a tripartite project on magnetoelectric (ME) antennas at the Centre for Wireless Innovation, Queen’s University Belfast, UK. His research interests include miniaturized antenna design, wireless healthcare systems, and next-generation communication technologies.
