Title: MicroRNAs and its target in the treatment of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC)
Dr.
Durairaj Sekar Ph.D received a doctoral degree in the field of biological
sciences from the University of Camerino, Italy. He was awarded a doctoral
fellowship from the Ministry of Italian Government and the University of
Camerino, Italy (2008-2011). After that, he worked as a post-doctoral
research scientist at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and
Biotechnology (ICGEB, UN), Cape Town, South Africa, from 2011-2013). He published
notable scientific research and review articles in many peer reviewed high
impact international journals, including the Nature group of journals. He
published an article in the journal Molecular Cancer (IF: 27.4 corresponding
author) in the area of Exosomal microRNAs in various types of cancer. He
received two Extramural Research grants from the Indian Council of Medical
Research (ICMR) and one core grant from the Department of Science and
Technology (DST). His research interests are Non-coding RNAs/microRNAs biology
and their regulation in non- communicable diseases like hypertension, diabetes,
and various types of cancer. Currently, he is serving as an editor for
peer-reviewed journals and as a peer reviewer for nature group journals. There
have been 71 articles published in SCI-indexed journals. H index- 22 and i10-
