Dr. Negin Taghehchian is an accomplished research scientist with over a decade of experience in molecular and cancer biology. She earned her PhD in Biochemistry and completed postdoctoral training, focusing on cancer biomarkers, tumor signaling pathways, therapeutic resistance, and precision oncology. Her career includes roles as a Lecturer in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a Technical Supervisor in human genetics, where she led innovative projects, mentored graduate students, and advanced laboratory capabilities.
Currently based in Toronto as a Laboratory Assistant at Purphorm, a pioneering and dynamic laboratory/Inc., Dr. Taghehchian integrates wet-lab experimentation, bioinformatics, and analytical biochemistry to drive translational research. She is proficient in RNA-seq data analysis, statistical modeling, and leveraging large-scale genomic databases such as TCGA and GEO. With over 30peer-reviewed publications in international journals and active peer-review experience for Springer Nature and Elsevier, she has made significant contributions to gene regulation, molecular targets, and innovative therapeutic frameworks.
