Title: Staged Multidisciplinary Reconstruction of Pediatric Facial Gunshot Trauma
Kristy Chong is a
third-year medical student at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine
with an interest in otolaryngology and facial plastics surgery. She has engaged
in clinical and research projects in head and neck surgery, bariatric surgery, and
multidisciplinary care coordination, and serves as a Schweitzer Fellow,
focusing on public health and leadership development. She collaborated with
co-authors Wesley Green, MD; Vikram Ramjee, MD; and Mark Mims, MD in this case,
gaining experience in advanced ENT, ophthalmology, OMFS, and pediatric surgery.
Kristy aims to advance surgical education, craniofacial trauma care, and
community health initiatives globally.
