Title: Intensive Care Unit Stay After Valve Heart Surgery And In-Hospital Mortality: A Case-Control Study
Khalid Ibrahim was born in Jordan 1971 and studied in its local school.He completed his high school in Al Hosn secondary school. He then studiesmedicine at Jordan University of Science and Technology, Irbid, Jordan, andgraduated in 1995. He did his general and cardiothoracic training in Irbid,Jordan. After that he went to the Department of Circulation and Imaging atNorwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway where he dida 2-year Research Fellowship resulting in a PhD. His PhD Thesis was titled “IntraoperativeUltrasound Assessment in Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery,” with special interestin coronary anastomoses and the ascending aorta. After completing his research fellowship,he stayed in Trondheim for a 2-year clinical fellowship 2005-2007 and followedthat with a 2 year clinical fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic 2007-2009 beforereturning to Jordan to become Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at King AbdullahUniversity Hospital and Associate Professor at Jordan University of Science andTechnology where he still is.?
