She was admitted to ‘’Emil Racovi??” High School in 1980, at 1st position, with 10 mark (written test at Mathematics and Romanian Language). In 1984 , she occupied, through competition, 1st position (from 4,500 candidates), with 9.96 mark at “Grigore T. Popa”University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Faculty of Medicine (written tests at Biology, Chemistry and Physics).
She graduated in 1990, with 9.93 mark and she became through competition, an Internal Physician, Secondary Physician, Specialist in Cardiology and Senior in Internal Medicine, practicing and learning in the best Emergency Hospital from Eastern Romania (“Sfantul Spiridon” Hospital, Ia?i)
She began teaching and researching in 1995, at “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy , Ia?i. She used and developed modern techniques for teaching, addressed to students and young physicians, according to international requirements. She obtained a PhD in Cardiology, in 2003.
She developed professional relationships with other medical specialties: surgery, pediatrics, dentistry, radiology, following interdisciplinarity in medical research. In 2013, she discovered the 6th case (there are only 5 communicated cases, worldwide) of spontaneous closure of an interventricular septal defect, after an acute myocardial infarction.
She published and communicated (in Romania, Spain, Italy, Turkey, United States of America, and China) 112 scientific medical works and 5 medical books. The main research areas are related to myocardial ischemia, heart failure, angiotensin-renin-aldosterone system, correlations between dentistry and medical diseases, geriatric pathology, Marfan syndrome.
