Biography

Board Certified (ABIM) and Fellowships in Internal Medicine, Chest Medicine, Cardiology & Interventional Cardiology both in Canada & the U.S. Special certification in Coronary CT angiography, X Ray & Nuclear radiation safety. Academic appointments include Clinical Instructor- USC, Adjunct Professor- Laurentian Univ, Lecturer- Univ of Toronto, Associate Professor- Univ of Ottawa Heart Institute and Professor of Medicine - Aga Khan University.

His commitment to the Third World is highlighted by significant, multi-year, on site, contributions to the development of cardiac care services in Pakistan, Kenya and Tanzania. 

Among the multiple awards, he has been honored by the Governor General for service to Canada, by the Aga Khan for his service to the community, by the Heart & Stroke foundation for his service of developing  Healthy Heart programs, Nehru Humanitarian award  by UBC-Goel foundation and  bestowed the honour of Emeritus Member of the American College of Cardiology for his service to the Cardiovascular profession

After a successful career he has now retired from clinical practice, but is active in cardiovascular education and medical navigation.
