Title: Brucella infection regulates thioredoxin-interacting protein expression to facilitate intracellular survival by reducing the production of nitric oxide and reactive oxygen species
Shengqing
Yu has her expertise in pathogenesis research of Brucella abortus. Her
research group has identified 34 novel genes essential for Brucella abortus to
establish infection by signature-tagged mutagenesis, constructed of pTM series
plasmids for gene expression in Brucella species. found that Brucella
rough mutant induce macrophage death via activating IRE1? pathway of endoplasmic
reticulum stress by enhanced T4SS secretion. Furthermore, used a comparative
proteomics analysis revealed OmpW family protein (BAB1_1579) and
uncharacterized protein BAB1_1185, two differential secretory proteins, were
associated with Brucella cytotoxicity.
