Geriatrics
The geriatric disciplines are unique: older patients typically present with overlapping problems from various disorders, the effects of natural ageing can be difficult to disentangle from clinical conditions, and indistinct syndromes are common. Neurology of the older adult thus demands a more holistic and multidisciplinary approach: distinguishing normal age-related changes from those that require treatment is a challenge. Geriatrics is especially essential to be included in the challenging way due to the rising problems of lack of proper disease management in the ever-increasing geriatric population globally. Neurodegenerative diseases in the elderly are on the increase globally and are challenging problems shared by many developed countries, as well as developing ones. Development of aged care services to face the increase of an older population can be a difficult problem for many developing countries without past experience to work from. Sharing of knowledge and lessons between developing and developed countries is a good way forward. Geriatric congress will bring a multidisciplinary approach in Neuro Forum 2023 and bring advanced management in Neurodegenerative diseases in Geriatrics.
