Biography

Sanjay H. Mehta is a clinical optometrist, speaker, and entrepreneur who graduated from Elite School of Optometry in 1990 with a Baccalaureate in Optometry. He became the first graduate from the institution to establish an independent private clinical practice immediately after graduation through Tower Optics, where he continues to practice in Chennai. His clinic is equipped with advanced diagnostic technologies including OCT, Non-Mydriatic Fundus Camera, Non-Contact Tonometer with Pachymeter, and Portable Visual Field Analyzer, enabling comprehensive eye care services. Over the years, his practice has examined more than 45,000 patients and provided dispensing expertise to over one million customers. He has delivered over 100 presentations at optometric conferences and is widely recognized for maintaining high standards in clinical optometry and dispensing practice. In 2024, at the age of 58, he joined the Masters Programme in Optometry at Bharatimaiya College of Optometry to further advance his academic journey.
