Biography

Dr Tamara Jovanovic is currently an associate research professor and research scientist at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia, in materials and chemical technologies, nanotechnologies and biomedical engineering. She has been involved in several technological, integral and interdisciplinary research projects related to materials science and engineering, as one of the leading researchers. She has more than 50 scientific publications, in the international peer-reviewed and indexed journals, a book chapter in the international encyclopaedia, books, as well as in conference proceedings. She is a member of the board and reviewer panel of reputed international journals, and of several international and national scientific associations.

Her research interests include materials and chemical technologies, nanomaterials and nanotechnologies, their production, characterization and applications in electronic and optical devices, polymers, sensors, diagnostic and therapeutic agents, drug delivery, biomedical engineering, medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry, molecular spectroscopy, analytical methods and separation techniques.
