THEME: "Exploring the Challenges in Pre & Post Formulations and Drug Delivery Systems"
Bioavailability (BA) is a term used in pharmacology and nutritional and environmental sciences. In pharmacology, it mention to the degree and rate at which an administered drug is absorbed by the body's circulatory system, the systemic circulation. Bioavailability of a drug is predominantly determined by the premises of the dosage form, which depend partially on its drug design and manufacture. Variations in bioavailability among formulations of a given drug can have clinical significance; thus, knowing whether drug formulations are equivalent is essential. Bioavailability is generally evaluate by determining the area under the plasma concentration–time curve (AUC—see Representative plasma concentration–time relationship after a single oral dose of a hypothetical drug.). The most valid rate of a drug’s bioavailability is AUC.
