Title: Adsorption for the removal of different pollutants in "ScienceDirect" papers in 2024: A bibliometric analysis
Dr. Himanshu Patel completed my Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry in 2012, with 13 years of industrial experience and 11 years in teaching. Currently, I am working as an Associate Professor at the Pacific School of Engineering, Surat. Also, my name is listed among the World's top 2% scientists. I am also a Schedule-I Environmental Auditor recognized by GPCB. I have published 3 grant patents, 8 review papers, and 28 research papers in various international journals, including Elsevier, T & F, Wiley, etc., as well as twenty-five books, including those published by Elsevier. Furthermore, I am a member of two international societies and have been selected to review research papers and books for various firms. I am also a member of the Technical Review Committee and Outreach Committee for various international conferences.
In this paper, bibliometric analysis of research paper on adsorption published in "ScienceDirect" journals in 2024 is performed. It exclusively included comprehensive review of open access and subscripted papers. Introduction of various adsorbates (metal, dye, another pollutant and multiple pollutants), characterization techniques and territory of researcher's affiliation are incorporated in this review. Over six hundred research papers are incorporated in this critical review paper and statistical analysis according to different pollutants, characterization techniques, countries according to number of scientists and publication journals are elucidated. Highest number of papers in 2014 are published for chromium(VI) and lead(II) for metal, methylene blue for dye, SEM followed by FTIR analysis for adsorbent surface analysis, Asian countries, chiefly China for researcher's affiliation and Separation and Purification Technology considering the publication journals. This review paper included all the references (research papers, review papers and books) were published in 2014. In open as well as subscription papers, iron oxides such as Fe2O3 and Fe3O4 are utilized to prepare ten percent of the adsorbent to remove different types of contamination.
