Dr. Lara Ramdin is not your typical science nerd. With a BSc (Hons) in Applied Biology from the University of Cardiff and a PhD in Immunology from the University of Southampton, Lara is masterminding turning yesterday's food into tomorrow's feast.

Lara is a trailblazer, scientist, and expert in R&D and innovation. A senior executive that has held leadership positions in Unilever, Estee Lauder, Molson Coors, and Dole Sunshine – she crusades to not only to educate consumers on the importance of creating value from food waste but also to empower them to make healthy food choices for a longer lifespan. She has an unparalleled dedication to sustainability and creating a better and just food system. As an Upcycled Food Foundation board member, Lara drives the scientific upcycling programme through her leadership of the Research Fellows scheme. Lara is widely sought-after thought-leader on the nexus of the future of food, nutrition and innovation and has been named on the “Women in Innovation” watchlist by Inside Outside.
