Biography

Dr. Venkatesh Chennam Vijay is an Associate Professor at Birmingham City University. He received his PhD in Engineering from Birmingham City University, where his research focused on extending Knowledge-Based Engineering (KBE) principles into engineering distance learning.

His research expertise spans Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), embedded systems, and intelligent electronic system design. He has extensive experience in developing interactive tools using gaming environments and immersive technologies.

More recently, his work has also explored the integration of embedded electronics, sensors, and AI-driven systems for smart environmental applications, including the development of smart bin technologies and intelligent waste management solutions aimed at improving recycling efficiency and sustainable urban infrastructure.
