HIV Counseling
Counselling in HIV and AIDS has become an important element in a comprehensive model of health care, in which psychological issues are seen as integral to patient management. HIV and AIDS counselling has three general aims
- The prevention of HIV transmission
- To support of those affected directly and indirectly by HIV
- Counselling is the gateway to remove fear from HIV patients know that they have HIV infection or disease, they may suffer great psychological stresses through a fear of rejection, disease progression, and the uncertainties associated with future management of HIV
