Biography

Dr. Sunil Dwarkanath Khaparde  is  Advisor public  health  at  Ministry of health and family welfare Government of India posted at PHO Mumbai. Recent back he was Deputy Director General, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, a National Program Manager of Tuberculosis,  Heading Central TB Division, Project Director, RNTCP. He has done MD in community medicine and Ph. D from IIPS, Mumbai with degree in LLB. He has vast working experience of 34 years in public health, government services. And in his previous assignments he has worked as director family welfare training and research centre Mumbai, he work as Dupty Director General at National  AIDS  Control  Organisation  (DDG- NACO) Program  manager for STI & Basic services ,PPTC, ICTC  of HIV/ AIDS.  Director for National Blood Transfusion Council, Deputy Commissioner (Immunization,) He has been awarded the fellowship from various national international organizations such as WHO, UNAIDS, British Council and Australian AIDS. In the field of universal immunization, polio, RCH, Tuberculosis, HIV, blood Safety, Sexual & Reproductive Health etc. In addition he is member of many technical committee and professional associations and has been awarded with many public health champion awards.  He has to his credit many research articles published in various national and international journals.
