Choice is a basic human right. As someone who believes in the value of individuals and their ability to determine their own destiny, I feel that it is crucial for us to recognize the power of choice as a foundational principle for healthy and productive individuals, families, and communities. Choice gives us control over our own lives and our own mindsets. Choice creates opportunities for us to make decisions about our lives and to define the path we want to take. With choice comes responsibility. And taking ownership of our choices puts us in the driver's seat of our lives rather than being passive recipients of what life throws at us. As we recognize and celebrate the power of choice as one of the most fundamental human rights, I want to encourage you to think about the choices you make every day and the role that choice plays in your own life. When you embrace the power of choice, you create opportunities to learn, to grow, and to lead. The power of choice is what propels us forward, and it is the foundation for personal and professional success. Productivity and Leadership begin with making wise choices. In any industry, those who "choose wisely" will always make the greatest impact, elicit the greatest positive change, excel in productivity and become the empowered leader that every organization needs.
