Title: The Death of Death: The Scientific Possibility of Physical Immortality and Its Moral Defense
José Cordeiro, PhD José is an international fellow of the World
Academy of Art and Science, vicechair of HumanityPlus, director of The
Millennium Project, founding faculty at Singularity University in NASA Research
Park, Silicon Valley, and former director of the Club of Rome (Venezuela
Chapter). He has also been invited faculty at the Institute of Developing
Economies IDE – JETRO in Tokyo, Japan, the Moscow Institute of Physics and
Technology (MIPT) and the Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Russia. José
studied engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in
Cambridge, MA, economics at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, management
at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. He has published more than 10 books in 15
languages and appeared in programs with the BBC, CNN, Discovery Channel and
History Channel. He is a member of the Sigma Xi (??) and Tau Beta Pi (???)
honor societies, and has received several prizes, including the Spanish Health
Award by Instituto Europeo for promoting research on longevity and life
extension. He has been Spanish candidate to the European Parliament in 2019,
when he proposed the creation of the European Anti-Aging Agency.
