Cardio-oncology is an emerging field of cardiology that focuses on cardiovascular diseases in patients with cancer. The classic cardio-oncology paradigm is the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiotoxicity resulting from chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy.
