Nanostructures and Nanofilms

A nanostructure is defined as any structure with one or further dimension, measuring in the nanometer scale range, that is, 10 – 9mNanofilms are thin layers of material spanning from a bit of a nanometer to several micrometers in consistence.

Nanostructured films are a new technology based on self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) where a single layer of a chemical or molecule is absorbed onto the surface of the fibre.
