Nanotechnology in Tissue Engineering

In tissue engineering, nanoparticles have been employed for a variety of purposes, including improving biological, electrical, and mechanical characteristics, delivering genes, transfecting DNA, transferring viruses, patterning cells to promote the growth of different tissues, and detecting and sensing molecules. Depending on the applications, the inclusion of the suitable kind of nanoparticles in TE can considerably improve the biological, mechanical, and electrical properties of scaffolds as well as perform a variety of other tasks.

Tissue engineering, which has been utilised to build smart medication delivery systems and repair or reconstruct damaged tissues or organs, has benefited significantly from recent advances in nanotechnology. Given the many ways that nanomaterials are used in tissue engineering, it is crucial to select the right nanomaterials for each application.
