Title: Executive function decline and regional amyloid-? accumulation due to Alzheimer Disease in Adults with Down Syndrome
I am a
board-certified neuropsychologist and Associate Clinical Professor at the
University of California, Irvine who has been evaluating and treating people
with intellectual and developmental disabilities for over 20 years. As a
Co-Investigator on several NIH-funded multi-site studies that examine the
biomarkers and course of Alzheimer’s disease in people with Down syndrome, I
helped design the cognitive batteries that assess cognition and cognitive
decline for people with Down syndrome. My publications have focused on the
early cognitive and functional declines, white matter microstructural changes,
and distribution of brain amyloid in people with Down syndrome who are at high
risk for developing Alzheimer’s dementia.
