Title: Uncovering new targets and therapies for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) using artificial intelligence (AI) approaches.

Biography

Dr. Monika Myszczynska studies the non-cell autonomous mechanism of motor neuron disease (MND), focusing on the role of astrocytes in the disease. She specializes in in vitro disease modelling and utilizes the models to unravel the mechanism(s) of action of drug candidates to treat MND. Through her various industrial collaborations, she has developed an interest in the uses of machine learning in advancing therapies for neurodegenerative diseases.
