This year’s theme, "Exploring Next-Generation Photonic and Laser Technologies" reflects the exciting progress of our field—where foundational scientific discoveries continue to drive transformative technologies that influence research, industry, and everyday life. As Conference Chair, I am delighted to help create a platform that encourages collaboration, innovation, and the exchange of pioneering ideas.
Among the many exciting topics we will explore is the integration and entanglement of multiple photonic instruments into unified platforms. This emerging approach has the potential to transform the alignment and coordination of photonic elements by significantly improving precision while reducing setup time and operational complexity. I was a pleasure participating in the latest conference on Laser Optics and presenting on our newest work for controlling wettability of bio-based wood coatings through the patterning with femtosecond laser surface texturing. The platform offers a smooth ability to discuss with colleagues on fundamentals and applications on laser technology for academic research and industrial application.
