Raman Spectroscopy

Raman Spectroscopy is an analytical technique that studies molecular vibrations by detecting inelastic ally scattered light when a sample is irradiated with a laser. The energy shifts in scattered light (Stokes and anti-Stokes) provide a molecular “fingerprint” for identifying chemical composition and structure. It is non-destructive, works for solids, liquids, and gases, and is widely used in chemistry, materials science, and biology.
