Title: Unusual nonlinear optical responses in 1D Photonic Architectures
Prof. G. Vijaya Prakash is Institute Chair Professor and Nanophotonics labs group leader from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT Delhi) India. He is associated with IIT Delhi since 2005 with prior experience in University of Trento ( Italy), University of Southampton (UK) and University of Cambridge (UK). He has been a long-term visiting faculty/researcher at University Southampton and University of Cambridge, UK. His more than 30 years of research interests span quantum functional materials, nonlinear optics and glass photonics. He is widely known in the research of photonic crystals, electron-photon strong coupling and nonlinear device methodologies and nonlinear rare-earth spectroscopy/imaging. His extensive and more than two decades long contributions in the field of Inorganic-Organic hybrid perovskites, witnessed the commercial realization of next-generation solar cells and LEDs. His scholarly work is evidenced by more than 260+ scientific journal publications. He has been a recipient of several research awards from various organizations. Currently he is the Fellow of National Academy of Sciences (FNASc) India, Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) UK, and Highest Academic Grade (HAG) and Institute Chair Professor.
