Biography

Berlinn Airiane Castro graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from the University of Santo Tomas in 2022. She is a registered medical technologist with a year of professional experience as a phlebotomist and laboratory scientist, where she honed her skills in clinical diagnostics and patient care.

Her research background includes co-authoring the study “Determining the Relevance of HLA/KIR Matching/Mismatching on Kidney and Liver Transplantation Rejection: A Meta-Analysis”, which she also presented at the Young Scientists’ Conference on Multidisciplinary Research 2021, organized by the National Institute of Fundamental Studies, Sri Lanka.

Currently, she is a third-year medical student at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center (UERM), where she was an academic scholar during her first and second years. Her interests lie at the intersection of clinical medicine, research, and evidence-based patient care.
