Title: Obesity Prevalence and its Impact on Maternal and Neonatal Outcomes among Pregnant Women: A Retrospective Cross-Sectional Study Design
Dr. Amel Dawod Kamel Gouda is an accomplished nursing academic and researcher specializing in Maternal and Newborn Health Nursing. She serves as an Assistant Professor at King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and as an Associate Professor at Cairo University, Egypt. She is also the Coordinator of the Midwifery Master's Program at KSAU-HS.
With extensive experience in maternal, newborn, and women's health, Dr. Gouda has made significant contributions through her research, publications, and participation in international nursing and healthcare conferences. Her research interests include maternal health, pregnancy-related complications, obesity in pregnancy, vitamin D status during pregnancy, urinary tract infections, and mental health interventions for women.
Dr. Gouda holds a Midwifery License from the Egyptian Ministry of Health and actively supports the advancement of nursing education and practice through editorial responsibilities, academic leadership, and professional committee involvement. Her scholarly work continues to contribute to improving maternal and neonatal health outcomes globally.
