Title: Women’s Perspectives of Collaboration Between Midwives and Traditional Birth Attendants in uThukela District, KwaZulu-Natal
Dr. Mpumelelo Pearl Ndaba is a dedicated professional and researcher with a strong interest in maternal and child health. Her doctoral research focused on developing practical guidelines to facilitate effective collaboration between midwives and traditional birth attendants (TBAs) in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa with an emphasis on culturally sensitive care and community-based health solutions.
Dr. Ndaba is currently employed by the Department of Health as an Examination Officer. Prior to this, she served for over a decade at the Durban University of Technology, where she worked as a midwifery lecturer and a midwifery clinical lecturer for six years. She is excited to be part of this conference, to present part of her research study, and to contribute to meaningful dialogue and evidence-based change in maternal healthcare.
