Tavares Madede currently serves as the Head of the Department of Community Health at the Faculty of Medicine, University Eduardo Mondlane, and as the Coordinator of the Implementation Sciences Unit (UCIMAPeS). He holds a Doctorate in human medicine, a Master's degree in Public Health, and is a PhD candidate at the University of Cape Town. With approximately 17 years of experience as a lecturer, researcher, and public health professional, he has been certified as a Trainer of Trainers in governance, management, and leadership aimed at strengthening health systems in Africa. His primary area of interest is the development of health systems, focusing on human resources for health and primary health care.
