Dr Alexander Sigg received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, followed by a PhD in Enzymology and Bioprocess Technology from Graz University of Technology He is currently a Senior Researcher in the Catalyst and Analysis department at P&P Industries AG, specializing in kinetic and thermodynamic analysis within the development and upscale of heterogeneous catalysts. Throughout his career, Dr Sigg has conducted extensive kinetic and thermodynamic characterization of catalytic systems across various fields, including polymerization, combustion technology, enzymatic degradation of renewable resources, the biotechnological synthesis of fine chemicals, and the development of heterogeneous catalysts for the conversion of sulfur-bearing gases.
