Health Informatics & e-Health

Health informatics and e-health refer to the use of technology and data to improve healthcare delivery, enhance patient outcomes, and streamline health information management. Health informatics involves the collection, analysis, and application of health data through systems like electronic health records (EHRs), which facilitate better communication among healthcare providers and enhance patient care coordination. This field also encompasses the use of data analytics to identify trends, improve clinical decision-making, and support public health initiatives.

E-health, on the other hand, refers to health services and information delivered or enhanced through the internet and related technologies. This includes telemedicine, mobile health applications, and online patient portals that enable patients to access their health information, consult with healthcare providers remotely, and engage in self-management of their health. Together, health informatics and e-health empower patients and healthcare professionals, promote patient engagement, and contribute to more efficient and effective healthcare systems. As these fields continue to evolve, they hold the potential to transform the healthcare landscape, making it more accessible, personalized, and data-driven.
