Title: Immersive Simulations in Counsellor Education: Teaching Self-Care Through Interactive Scenario
Dr. Juliet Mathew (MBBS, MCOUNS) is a registered medical practitioner with the Malaysian Medical Council and a licensed counsellor certified by the Board of Counsellors (Malaysia). She currently serves as Director of the Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre at IMU University, Kuala Lumpur. With over two decades of experience in clinical practice and a decade in psychosocial counselling, her work focuses on medical education, interprofessional development, and the integration of psychosocial care in clinical training. She also contributes to national curriculum initiatives in palliative care and holds leadership roles in several professional medical associations.
Dr Juliet Mathew is the first author who designed and wrote this article. She teaches the grief and bereavement module to postgraduate students under the Master of Counselling program, utilizing simulation concepts. She confirms responsibility for this article’s conception, design, analysis, interpretation of results of context, and manuscript preparation.
