Biography

Ludmil Benov is a full Professor in Biochemistry and editor of "Medical Principles and Practice". He is graduate of Sofia University (Biochemistry) and obtained a specialty of Biophysics and a Ph. D. degree from Medical Academy, Bulgaria. In 1988 was appointed as a chairman of the Department of Biophysics at Faculty of Medicine, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. After receiving a  Fogarty International Fellowship award was invited by Irwin Fridovich at Duke University Medical Center, USA, where he did research on oxidative cell damage and mechanisms of antioxidant  defense and worked on development and characterization of porphyrin-based superoxide-dismutase mimetics and photosensitizers. From 1998 is a professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Kuwait University.

Dr. Chao Zuo is a professor in optical engineering, Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NJUST), China. He leads the Smart Computational Imaging Laboratory (SCILab: www.scilaboratory.com) at the School of Electronic and Optical Engineering, NJUST, and is also the founder and director of the Smart Computational Imaging Research Institute of NJUST. He has long been engaged in the development of novel Computational Optical Imaging and Measurement technologies, with a focus on Phase Measuring Imaging Metrology. He has published > 200 peer-reviewed articles with over 13,000 citations. 

Mikhail E Belkin

Biography

Prof. Mikhail E. Belkin – received an engineering degree in radio and television from Moscow Institute of Telecommunications, in 1971, Ph. D. degree in telecommunication and electronic engineering from Moscow Technical University of Telecommunications and Informatics, in 1996, and Sc. D. degree in photonics and optical communications from Moscow State Technical University of Radio-Engineering, Electronics and Automation, in 2007. He has written more than 250 scientific works in English and Russian. The major current R&D fields are fiber-optic devices and systems, microwave photonics, photonic ICs, incoming cellular communication networks, computer-aided design.

Biography

Professor Sukhdev Roy received the PhD. degree from IIT Delhi in 1993 and subsequently joined the Dayalbagh Educational Institute, India, where he is at present the Head of the Department of Physics and Computer Science. He has been a Visiting Professor at many universities that include, Harvard, Waterloo, Wuurzburg, Regensburg, Osaka, City University and Queen Mary University of London, TIFR, Mumbai and IISc. Bangalore. He has won a number of awards and has published 175 research papers and 11 book chapters. He was the Guest Editor of the March 2011 Special Issue of IET Circuits, Devices and Systems Journal (UK) on Optical Computing.

Efim Arkadyevich Khazanov (born November 12 , 1965 , Gorky ) is a Russian physicist, specialist in the field of laser physics and nonlinear optics, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2008), academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2019). Chief Researcher of the Federal Research Center of the Institute of Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Laboratory "Physical Methods, Acousto-Optical and Laser Equipment for the Problems of Diagnostics and Therapy of Cancer" NUST "MISiS" Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation (2018). He has over 40,000 citations of his work published in scientific journals. Hirsch index- 79. In 1988 he graduated with honors from the Gorky Polytechnic Institute with a degree in engineering electrophysics.

Over the last decade the focus of his research has been radio frequency heating of plasmas, laser plasma interactions, laser plasma based particle accelerators, laser driven fusion, laser plasma based compact radiation sources and light matter interactions at nanoscale- plasmonics.  Dr. Pawan Kumar developed the concept of “A Surface Plasmon Laser and published more 35 research articles in highly reputed refereed international journals. Dr. Pawan Kumar is group leader of Research Centre for Compact Radiation Sources, RKGIT and member of An International Study Group to Promote Advanced and Novel Accelerators for High Energy Physics Applications, Advanced Linear Collider Research Group (ALEGRO).

Professor Vladimir G. Chigrinov is Professor of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology since 1999. He is an Expert in Flat Panel Technology in Russia, recognized by the World Technology Evaluation Centre, 1994, and SID Fellow since 2008. He is an author of 6 books, 31 reviews and book chapters, about 317 journal papers, more than 668 Conference presentations, and 121 patents and patent applications including 36 US patents in the field of liquid crystals since 1974. He got Excellent Research Award of HKUST School of Engineering in 2012.

Dr. Adiguzel graduated from Department of Physics, Ankara University, Turkey in 1974 and received PhD- degree from Dicle University, Diyarbakir-Turkey. He has studied at Surrey University, Guildford, UK, as a post- doctoral research scientist in 1986-1987, and studies were focused on shape memory effect in shape memory alloys. His academic life started following graduation by attending an assistant to Dicle University in January 1975. He became professor in 1996 at Firat University in Turkey, and retired on November 28, 2019, due to the age limit of 67, following academic life of 45 years.  He supervised 5 PhD- theses and 3 M. Sc- theses and published over 80 papers in international and national journals; He joined over 120 conferences and symposia in international level with contribution.
